Bunnies and eggs

Today Bryan leveled out the Temple area with a bobcat and stone dust. He also dug a hole in front of where the Temple facade is going. Justin and I removed a small area of vampires so we could move a small display to the other side of the hallway. We did this so we would have enough room to walk behind the scenes when we put the new Ballroom in. Jesse worked on the area in front of the Temple facade leveling the area the bridge is going to sit on. At the end of the day we unloaded all of the Ballroom pannels Bryan loaded on the flatbed a few days ago.

We also found some baby bunnies and some eggs in a nest. Elgin also stopped by to take mesurements of the Temple facade so he can create some cad drawings of it.

The Bridge

Today we started by putting together a bridge that flexes when you walk over it. We bought it when we were at the St. Louis haunt show.

We also finished the end of Fish Puppet from when we took down the ant cave.

More Temple facade

Today we worked more on the Temple facade and its now pretty much complete. We finished just in time before the rain came. Before we went to lunch and we went over to the show in the rain and discussed the transition from Fishpuppet to Temple and Temple to Dungeon.

Next week we are going to move the Temple facade to the show and hopefully start putting up the ballroom and more of Temple.

Temple Facade

Today all of us worked on the Temple facade. We actually started by taking everything we built so far and taking it down. We placed more supports and put the whole thing back up. We went a little higher than it was before but we still have to finish the top.

Short day

Justin and I started the day by cutting more wood for the Temple Facade. Kevin worked on animatronics and Jesse worked on mannequins. Before lunch Justin and Ernie started working on a shed and Chris was putting shelves in a storage area. We went home before lunch.

Lists and Temple Facade

We got lists again today. In the morning Chris and I finished off the doors for the remaining trailers.

In the afternoon Justin, Ernie, and I started work on the Temple facade.

Bryan is back

Today Chris and I spent more time making doors for trailers. Kevin and Jesse spent the morning finishing the stairs Justin and I started on Friday. After they were done Kevin went back to animatronics and Jesse made some more Mannequin. Bryan spent the day loading the flatbed with all the panels and other stuff for the new Ballroom. After lunch Justin and I started framing and making more doors.

No lists today

Today Ernie wanted to do more organizing. Kevin, Jessie, and Ernie built a huge box for 16 foot 2x4s. Chris and I built some doors for trailers. In the afternoon Justin and I cut wood for and started to put together some steps. The picture is Jesse, Ernie, and Kevin standing in front of the box they made.

Lists day 3

Today we got more lists. Kevin, Jesse, Justin, and I moved a few walls around the manor facade. After that Kevin continued fixing the ball in temple and Jesse did more organizing of the masks. Justin weed wacked the new Ballroom area and he and I came up with an exact plan on the position of the Ballroom. We also cleaned up the Temple area a little more. Lists Day 2

Justin and I worked on making doors for the paint shed and Ernie wanted us to take a door off another trailer. Jesse spent the day in the mask trailer trying to organize it. Kevin started work on getting the Temple ball working again.

The Lists

Ernie gave each of us a list of stuff to do today. In the morning I inventoried all of the speakers in the show and counted how much fog juice we have left over from last year. Justin, Ernie, and Chris worked on more organization stuff. Bryan started work on making the columns for the new Ballroom. Jesse worked on more Mannequins and Kevin on animatronics. In the afternoon I helped Ernie and Justin put more shelving in a box, Bryan left, and Jesse worked on organizing the masks in the mask trailer.

Not much done

Today Ernie Wanted Bryan to put foAm noodles on the Ballroom windows. Ernie, Justin, and Chris put Shelves in one of our sTorage boxes. I workEd on some mOre stuff in my trailer and helped cut some oF the wood for the storage box. Kevin worked some more on his animaTronics and Jesse continued makIng more Mannequins. Later in the afternoon Justin, Ernie, and I made a wall with a doorway for the paint shEd.

Ballroom panels

We got a lot done today. Bryan, Ernie, Justin, Chris and I made all the panels need for the Ballroom. Kevin mostly worked on animatronic stuff and Jesse worked on mannequins. Ernie, Bryan and Chris are working on the panels in the picture

It was raining today so we pretty much just worked inside on our own projects. Kevin worked on designing animatronics, Jesse worked on making new mannequins, and I worked on getting new pumpkins ready for the Pumpkin Patch.
In the afternoon the rain held off for a while so Justin cut a lot of wood so we can make panels tomorrow while Ernie, Chris, and Kevin made a couple small work tables.

Painting cleaning and Ballroom Room arches

This morning Ernie, Justin, Kevin, and Jessie put primer on the plywood we had while Bryan and I built two arches for the new Ballroom. In the afternoon Ernie and Justin painted all the plywood black while Kevin and Jessie did some more cleaning and organizing to our work area.

Finally some construction

Today Ernie, Chris, Kevin, Jessie, Justin, and I did some cleaning and organizing of our work area. Bryan worked on making some windows for the new Ballroom. After lunch we went over to the Temple area to start planning out the new house. In the picture Bryan is cutting the new windows.

Cleanup

This morning we started by finishing the take down of the ant cave at the end of Fish Puppet and cleaning up anything that was left of the old Temple and the Ballroom. Temple is finally 100% down and we can start building the new one soon. After lunch we helped Jessie and Kevin clean up their work areas. Bryan; Monster of the Graveyard

Here is the first video of this blog. This morning we started by taking down the wall opposite the Ballroom in Vampires. After loosening up all the panels Bryan got to push the panels over.



We also cleaned up more of the Temple area and started taking down the cave at the end of Fish Puppet (Jungle).

Kevin and Jessie back at the Graveyard

Today was the first day Jessie and Kevin were back working at the Graveyard since last year. We started right off with cleaning up some of the wood from the bottomless pit and the rest of the old Temple. We finally took the Sacrifice room down which was the largest room in the old temple. The Ballroom in Vampires was the next room to be taken down. We are going to redesign it this year. In the picture from left to right: Justin, Bryan, Jessie, and Kevin.
