Temple almost down

Day 3 of the temple take down and we are almost done. Today we took down everything up to the cave between Fish puppet and Temple. We only have the two large rooms at the end of the house to go and the ant cave itself.


The entire main crew is going to meet this weekend for the first time this year. The six of us; Ernie, Bryan, Justin, Kevin, Jesse and I will be there. I'll be sure to post some info from the meeting for all you curious people out there.

Temple take down day 2

We continued to take down Temple today. Bryan finally got his truck (mostly) fixed yesterday so he got to have some fun destroying stuff too. We got a lot down so it should only take one or two more days. As soon as Ernie gets a new dumpster we will be able to clean up the mess.

Temple Takedown

Today Justin and I started the take down of Temple. We started at the sacrifice room and went backward through the house. It was fun taking the pannels down but it was a little hot. We have a lot to go but we are going to try and get it down by the weekend.

Manor Facade Takedown

Today Ernie, Bryan, Justin, and I took down the Manor facade. Over the next few years we plan to start replacing some of the major house facades. We decided to replace Manors first because we think the outside of the house should look just as good as the inside.

Tunnel of Light takedown

This morning Justin and I finished taking down the panels between the Tunnel of Light and the first vortex. When we finished that we started taking down all the lights and speakers inside Temple. That's me swinging in the picture.

Today I was alone at the graveyard (no one told me they weren't comming ;p ) so the only thing I did was start to take down the lights of the tunnel of light. The tunnel of light is going to be replaced by demons. Instead of demons being before Spiders it will now be after.

Display in Compounce

Today we took down our display in Compounce. It goes up before the July 4th weekend and is supposed to come down at the end of the season but it slipped our minds last year. The mesoileum is very heavy but the Bryan, Justin, and I managed to get it down.

First day back to work

Today was our first day back at the Graveyard and it was nice to be back. We left our work area a little messy at the end of the year so we did some cleaning.

Bryan, Justin, and I also walked through the show looking for repairs and things we can improve. Between that and our meetings we have quite a bit to do this year so we'll need to get started right away.

Just a small update. The decision makers have met a few times and we have some big things in store for all of you this year. We look forward to revealing them but it wouldn't be any fun to just post them all here in one post. We'll let you keep guessing about our plans for now.
